Need to gain access to our website

  We worked with a vendor to create and migrate this website — the DNS information was not shared with us and we need it to fix our broken site ASAP. The vendor is no longer in contact with us. What are our options?

  Looking at your account, you have no sites listed. Do you perhaps have another WordPress.com account (or Jetpack-connected site), and could you please share your site URL?

  Please keep in mind, these forums are for sites hosted on WordPress.com managed hosting. If your site is hosted elsewhere, help is available in the WordPress.org forums or by contacting your hosting provider and/or domain registrar.

  The wordpress site that owns this domain is from an old vendor – we do not know the login information. We were told by network solutions, which manages our other URLS, that the site hosting is with Automattica, which led us here. Any help you can provide on next steps would be appreciated.

  Just to clarify, does someone else owns the hosting plan as well as the domain?

  We aren’t able to take someone’s site and give it to someone else, but at their request, we can help them transfer ownership to you.

  Also, to confirm it’s hosted here with us, could you send a link to the site?

  What I know is that a former employee traferred the domain from our Network Solutions account to wordpress for this site: https://agreaterprovidence.org/

  We don’t know what wordpress account was used for the transfer. The account we use to login to update the website does not list any domains under it.

  While the agreaterprovidence.org domain is registered with WordPress.com, the site is hosted elsewhere.

  If you’re looking to gain access to the account that owns the domain, please complete the account recovery form.

  If you’re not the owner of this account or don’t have transaction details, you’ll need to track down the old vendor so they can transfer the domain to your account.

  Thank you – we’ve submitted the request to recover the account we believe owns the domain with info from an old paper receipt we found in our accounting files. 🤞
