Need to get my original username back.

    Long story short, I signed up for a WordPress account for work under the username “wkbnchriscomley”.

    I thought I signed up using the wrong address. To correct this I was told to just change my username (to “chriscomley”) and relink the account to a different email address (instead of my work email address).

    So I did this, a couple hours later I found out that I did it the correct way and had to go back in and change my username from “chriscomley” to “wkbnchriscomley”. But when I did this, it said that the username “wkbnchriscomley” was already in use.

    I need that name back.

    Please respond ASAP. Thank you.

    That’s not possible – sorry.

    Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
