Need to get rid of redirects
-
Hi there,
I noticed that my website is VERY slow and I’m currently in the process of figuring out how to speed it up. My first stop was a gtmetrix scan which told me that my images need to be optimized (as I suspected), but also that redirects are causing a lot of issues. These redirects are mostly skimresources.com.
Now, I signed up for Skimlinks’ affiliate program a while back and MIGHT have put code somewhere on my website (header? footer? not sure) as they instructed, so I assume that’s what’s causing this redirect. However, I don’t use their affiliate program and I want to get rid of these redirects to speed up my site.
Here’s the problem: I can’t find this code ANYWHERE. I’m not an advanced coder, but I’ve looked anywhere I can think of and I can’t find it. It’s also not listed in the redirects section of the WP Dashboard.
Is there any way you can help me find this code or do you know of any other way to get rid of these redirects?
Thank you for your help!

Hi,
It looks like your site is using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but is hosted with another webhost.
We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Your webhost’s support team may also be able to assist.
If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:
