Need to have posts go to separate pages

    Hello,
I am very new to any of this so I am sorry if this is a silly question to begin with.
I am working on my girlfriends blog at chivewithme.com.
If you go to the page you’ll see two main pages where I would like posts to go: “recipes” and “nutrition”.
Up until this point, as the blog is fairly new, there has only been posts in the recipes section and I left the nutrition page empty. Yesterday, was the first nutrition post labelled ” combat the inflammation”.
Ideally I would like everything to come up in reverse chronological order on the main page (So everything is fine there), but I would like to have recipes to just be on the recipes page and nutrition posts to just be in the nutrition page. Currently the nutrition posts are on the recipes page and the nutrition page is just the same as the homepage.
I was under the impression that it would work through the categories. So the category nutrition will put all nutrition posts to the nutrition page, and recipes to the recipe page.
Just to be clear: What I am looking for is to have recipes show up on the home page like they are in reverse chronological order ( like a classic blog) and also to only show up in the recipes page without it showing up in the nutrition page. Similarly I would like nutrition posts to show up like it is on the home page but to not show up on recipes and to only live on the nutrition page.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to make this work. I apologise if this is an awful explanation!
I am running genesis framework with foodie pro child theme.

    Howdy chivewithme!
Your site chivewithme.com is a Self Hosted WordPress site, but looking for your detailed explanation I figured out, what you need to do,
from your details, you just need to make sure you rightly assign the Category to the Post, and also, make sure on the Menu items you have rightly assigned the correct category to them as well.
This will make sure, the correct post appear on the correct menu according to the Category.
Also, you could get help with some Plugins to here is useful link
    https://wordpress.org/search/category+pages

Also, to get support on the forums WordPress org Support
If you don’t have an account there, you would have to register one.

    To know the difference between
    WordPress Com vs WordPress ORG

This forum is just for WordPress.com folks only.
Hope this helps, best wishes to get your solution soon.
