Need to hide my site asap

i need to hide my site and can find no way to do this. I have tried to find the plugin settings to download the Hide My Site plugin but can’t find the plugin option. If this is not available i would like to empty my site of all content. How do I do either?

Assuming you are talking about a WordPress.com site (you didn’t post the URL), you can make your blog private by going to Reading>Settings.http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#site-visibility-options
I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose – Select this option to create a private blog. If you want others to be able to view your private blog (and add comments, if you’ve enabled them) you’ll need to invite them to be a viewer

Thank you! That works – although I still see my site listed and visible when I Google it. I presume it will take a little while for that to disappear. Really appreciate your help!

It can take a while (3-6 months) for Google (and Bing) to clear their caches. Blog content can stay indexed in the search engine and page results (SERPs) during that time.
