Need to identify a username requesting access
-
We have a small private site for our HOA. We sent out invitations to view the site some months ago and most HOA members responded promptly. Today, we got a request that ‘The WordPress.com user ‘XXXXXXXX’ requested access to view your private site….’ Before granting access, how do we know whether this person is an HOA member? There are no clues in the person’s WordPress username.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Unfortunately there really isn’t a way to know.
On private sites like these, we assume you’ll know the username of the person you’re inviting.

Thank you. One thought — Is it possible to for WordPress to send an email to the person requesting access — that they contact our HOA via our email with their request so we know who they are?
