Need to Insert Code to My Blog – How Do I Do This?
-
I was just accepted into the Her Campus Blogger network, and I need to add code to my blog to prove I am part of the network. The code is for a Her Campus badge.
If anyone could walk me through simply step by step, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you very much!

This is not a CSS issue. Provided the code does not contain Javascript or is not for an iframe then you copy and paste it into a text widget and that’s it.
If you are ever in the situation where no code is provided or it’s a restricted code like the ones I named above, a badge, award or certificate is simply an image that you link to. You can capture an image and upload it, link to it and display it in a text widget.
For creating links in a text widget see:

NOTE http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/#adding-an-imageYou can upload image files by clicking the Add Media button right above the editing area of a page or a post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/
You can also upload new files to your Media Library using Media → Add New. http://support.wordpress.com/media/media-add-new

Can you post the code here between code tags, so that we can take a look at it like the following?

I don’t know how to insert this widget thing. I have looked at the tutorials, and I am lost.
Sorry!
I need this Her Campus logo on at all time.

Actually, let’s do it with an image widget, which is easier. Go to appearance > widgets and add an image widget to your sidebar.
First, click this link for reference: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/#settings .
Paste this into the “image URL” field in the image widget:
http://hercampus.com/sites/all/themes/year_three/banners/BloggerNetworkLogo200.pngPaste this into the “Link URL” field in the image widget:

Thank you very much for your help. You are very kind and patient!
How do I get that icon set up on the side of my blog?
I would like it to be on the right hand side. Any thoughts?

Also is there any way to get rid of all of the things underneath Meta?
I honestly don’t really see the need for them with my blog. Thank you again to all who have helped contribute. It is much appreciated.

Put it in an image widget in the right-hand sidebar, assuming your theme has a sidebar on the right.

Here is what to put in the Image URL field inside the image widget:
http://www.hercampus.com/sites/all/themes/year_three/banners/BloggerNetworkLogo300.pngIf you’d like, you can also add a Link URL to the image widget, such as:
http://www.hercampus.com/I added an image widget to the Inactive Widgets area in your Appearance -> Widgets dashboard so you can see how it works. Just drag that image widget over into the “Sidebar” area on the right.
https://stylesilike.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.phpIf you want to remove the meta widget, click the arrow on the right side of the “Meta” title and click “Delete.”
