Need to know about links

    was confused between making links on wordpess or in wordpress how can i create them while using EX: if i am sending pingback so my wordpess post address will be sent as a pingback bu some users are sending their twitter user name youtube user name in pingback how are they doing this is that different way to do which i am not following correctly.
