Need to Know how to Import Theme

  I’m watching a tutorial and it directs me to a “import theme” under the appearance tab. I don’t have that option though. Help!!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Appearance >> Themes

  At the bottom of the screen you get all the themes to choose from. You can search by name or sort them A-Z etc.

  Thank you, I have a file on my desktop though of a theme I want to import. Know how I could do this?

  We cannot add themes at wordpress.COM. We are limited to the 170+ (and growing) themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

  Themes at wordpress.COM have to be modified to work within the restrictions here and to support the unique features.

  You can’t upload any themes from your desktop if your blog is at WordPress. To use your own themes you need to host your blog somewhere else (web hosts like go daddy, 123reg, hostmaster etc) or run your own appache server from home.

  Or even consider paying $99 to WordPress who MAY allow you to use premium themes.
