Need to login to access my site
-
I have just completed a Jetpack restoration as I resume my subscription in wordpress.com. The restoration completes without error, but following message emerged: ‘You need to be logged in as a user who has permission to view this site.’ However my site should be open to public.
Also I have tried to manually enable the public access in Setting > General > Privacy Setting, but all options are disabled.
How can I fix this?
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I also go to Setting > General > Privacy to attempt to change the setting, but all are disabled. Please help to solve this issue.

Hello,
I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with your site’s privacy settings after the restoration. It looks like this could be related to the combination of plugins that are in use, the login functionality of Learndash.
I notice that All In One WP Migrate is installed on the site – to check have you run a migration of the site at any time?
This information will help to troubleshoot what you’re seeing there, and we can look to get everything as it should be.
Many thanks in advance.

Yup, I have just created a back up from my live site (hkcnc.online hosted in WordPress.com) and attempted to restore in the site eduplatform72854534.wpcomstaging.com This is because I want to use the site as a development site mirroring the live site to build and test on the new UIs , features and additional plugins. Both this site and the live site used the same Business plan in WordPress.com
Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks!

Please ignore the message above as I used the wrong account and do let me know if you need more information. Thanks!

Hi there,
Because All In One WP Migration is a 3rd party migration tool, it’s difficult for us to determine what may have happened in the move to cause this outcome. As my colleague has mentioned, the login functionality appears to be related to the Learndash plugin, so it may be possible to deactivate the plugin so that you can regain access to the site.
However, since your intent is to have a duplicate site for testing, I think a better option would be to use our native staging site functionality:
Use a staging site to clone your entire WordPress.com site for testing purposes. This guide will show you how to create a staging site on WordPress.com. This feature is available on sites with the WordPress.com Business or Commerce plan. 📌 This is a beta feature. If you find that something does not work as expected or you would like to share ideas on how to improve this featureThis would create an exact copy of the site using our internal tools, and also it would not require the use of a second Business Plan. Since the staging site is non-public (by design) it can use the Business Plan functionality of the live site it’s connected to.
If you wish to proceed with this separate site instead, please let us know. Our staging site tool can’t be used for sites under a different account like this, but we can reset the site so you can try your 3rd party migration and see if you are able to troubleshoot what’s going wrong with that process.
Thanks!
