Need to lose Blogroll etc from sidebar

I understand the boxes which contain blogroll, categories etc are all part of thetemplate… can someone suggest where I can find a template that does not have any of these things, I would like to keep the entire sidebar open for my images.
thanks guys

Can we have a link to the blog? The one tied to your username has only one post, the Hello World post, and it’s dated January 2007.

Right, here is the new blog I’m reffering to;

Removing the sidebar and extending the post area over full-width is a sizable CSS editing job, and not for beginners. I would suggest taking a look at different themes that are wider such as cutline, or the journalist, or pressrow. Or perhaps think about a flexible width theme.
You can take a look at this to see the general post area widths for various themes although the list needs to be updated: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/ .

@tsp-Flexible width themes seem to be suffering from image overlap since the resizing problem. Don’t think it’s been fixed yet.
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/control-gallery-image-size-in-flexible-width-themes?replies=18@saxx-If large images are important to you then read the FAQ that tsp linked to. There are several themes that allow images up to 800 pixels wide, which is nearly twice what you have now with Contempt. You can also preview every theme in your Dashboard under Design>Themes. Just click on the thumbnail and your current content will show up styled with the new theme.

Thanks guys, good info and I love “the Journalist” except I can’t get my box (table positioned to center. I’ve tried what I know, that is to put the html code which does that to text… any other suggestions?
