Need to make changes to a currently published page, but not display them yet.

I am needing to make changes to a currently published page, but I don’t want those changes to take effect until a future date. I see the “schedule” feature, but either it is not working, or it only works with an unpublished page? How can I make changes to a published page, but not publish the changes until a later date?

    Hi there,

You can type your changes into a published page and then click “Save Draft.” This way, your changes will be saved, but will not be published.

When you’re ready to publish the changes, simply go back to “Edit Page” and click on the “Update” button.

    Hi,
The “Save Draft” button does not appear on a published page unless I change it to a “draft”. Is this correct? But even when I change it from “published” to “draft” and then click “save draft” it still publishes the changes. Where am I going wrong? Thanks!

  • Sorry for the confusion, what you’re after is definitely not possible then, since you would have to un-publish the post to save it as a draft.

In this case, I recommend saving your changes in a text file, then manually update the post when the time comes.
