Need to make my intro stay at the TOP of my index page

  I know this is called a sticky and I have searched around the forums, to no avail.
  There is one plugin, called Adhesive(?) that does the job. However, when I installed it, my plugins page disappeared!! SO I had to delete the adhesive plugin. Another friend of mine had the same thing happen to him, and we’ve heard the same thing from others.

  Has there been a “fix” for this problem? Or is there another sticky plugin? I really don’t want to have to mess in my database to accomplish this.
