***NEED TO MAKE SUB MENUS ON HOMEPAGE***
-
Hello-
I am making a portfolio for a Grad. school class and need to have ONE menu on my homepage say “Standards” and a sub menu underneath that one with these:
Standard One: Teaching for LearningStandard Two: Literacy and Reading
Standard Three: Information and Knowledge
Standard Four: Advocacy and Leadership
Standard Five: Program Management and Administration
Currently, those are all showing up as their own menus instead of submenus. Someone suggested it might be because of my theme- which is “Dara”. I’m tried to go in and make those pages be sub pages by clicking the right arrow and indenting them one tab underneath “Standards” but it still didn’t work..
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @librarywithtlc,
You can add Sub-Menus in your website’s Customizer.
If you’re working on this blog – librarywithtlc.wordpress.com – you can click the link below to get into that page:
https://wordpress.com/customize/librarywithtlc.wordpress.com
1. Click Menus from the left sidebar.
2. Select Primary (or whichever menu you’re working on)
3. Click Add Items button to expand option to add a new Menu.
4. Once it’s added to your Menu list, drag it with your mouse indented and under the primary menu you wanted it to show up. It should look like this: https://i.imgur.com/8dBeGDO.png
**In my sample, Standards is my Primary Menu, and Teaching for Learning and Information and Knowledge are my sub-menus. Notice that they are indented.
5. Click Save and Publish button once you’re done.My menu bar now looks like this, when I hover my mouse to Standards – https://i.imgur.com/ie1FU56.png

Hi Rose-
Thanks for the explanation and screen shots! So I somehow managed to get all of my standards into one spot on the menu with a drop down arrow, but now it has taken away 3 of my other site pages– CV, Professional learning resources, and professional philosophy.
When I click on my pages tab, those 3 are there with the content in it, but no longer featured on my primary heading. Can you help with that?

It seems like you removed these from your Menu.
You would have to add them, too, to your menu. You would have to select the option Pages. Please see same support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
You will not be making any changes to the existing menu you have, you will only have to add new menus.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Rose
