Need to move my domain to wordpress.org but I just created it today on wordpress

    I just signed up for a personal wordpress.com account. I paid and then realized I need the .org. Now I signed up with wordpress.org and it says

    “the domain was registered within the past five days with another registrar (Automattic Inc.). You will need to wait 60 days before trying to transfer. Some registrars allow deleting the domain within 5 days of signup. If the losing registrar supports this, you may be able to delete the domain and signup for the domain here immediately. Check with the losing registrar (Automattic Inc.) for details.”

    What can I do to delete and keep my domain? Delete the the wordpress.com? Will I be able to start over with wordpress.org?

    Hi there!

    I would not recommend deleting your domain as you may easily lose it. You can point the domain to the new site and transfer it after the 60-days lock.

    I can see the domain is already pointing to Bluehost so I guess you already managed to fix it.
