Need to point WP domain thru Wild West to Shopify

    Hi,

    I need help please. I have done my best to edit the A and CNAME on WP and then connected it on Shopfiy and shopify states in green that it is connected.

    The original A and CNAME that are set up and handled by WordPress are still on the WP list and I cannot edit or delete them so the new A and CNAMEs I entered with Shopify information is entered below the WP entries.

    CNAME – handled by WP
    A Name – handled by WP

    CNAME-
    soshina-japanese-home-store.myshopify.soshinajapanesehomestore.com
    A Name – 23.227.38.65

    However, when I made the WP domain soshinajapanesehomestore.com the preferred domain on shopify so customers use my domain name and do not see the myshopify domain the WP domain states website cannot be found on the server and my online store will no longer load.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi there!

    I’ve checked the domain soshinajapanesehomestore.com and I can see that you have the following DNS records:

    CNAME
    soshina-japanese-home-store.myshopify.soshinajapanesehomestore.com
    POINTS TO:
    shops.myshopify.com

    A
    soshinajapanesehomestore.com
    POINTS TO:
    23.227.38.65

    If the above DNS records look correct, you’ve already added them to the domain properly. Note that DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to take effect. So if you were checking in right after adding the DNS records, it’s expected that they may not work.

    Please wait up to 72 hours for the DNS propagation to finish. After that, you’ll see the domain work with your Shopify site.
