need to recover username and password for blog access

I no longer have the username and password to log into http://layministry.wordpress.com. It is a blog for an organization that was started some time ago and is no longer needed. I would like to be able to login to delete the blog but if there is another way to do so, let me know.

You will need Staff help. In order to help you get access to your blog Staff need one of the following things in order to correctly identify you as the blog owner:
1. an email from the email address associated with the account or revealing what that associated email address was
2. the wordpress.com API key for your account. This was included in your welcome email with a note to keep it safe.
3. if you have purchased any upgrades for the blog a transaction number

More to report. I believe the issue is that this blog is associated with an email address I no longer have access to. So now, I can’t update the email properly to one that I use because I can’t access the old email to verify the new one.

I’d like to know how to directly connect with staff at WordPress. I have the same issue as the above member: I’ve lost my username and password for my blog: BookProposalMentor.com – Its driving me crazy how I can’t get help with something as simple as this…. this so much.

BookProposalMentor.com – is not hosted on WordPress.COM – you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using
