Need to redirect traffic to new address.

Please help! At a friend’s suggestion I changed my blog address to include my full name. How can I have people redirected from the old site to the new one? Also, did I lose my followers? Thanks

If you don’t want to do the upgrade you could also just create a static homepage which explains to everyone where to get your new content and have a BIG link to the new site.

Thanks Jason, The problem is I already changed my URL and the old one is deleted so your first link won’t help. But considering the second one – if I buy a redirect, can I still redirect from my old URL which has been deleted? Or is it too late? I did change from one wordpress.com to another. All I did has add my last name.

If a site has been deleted you can’t buy a redirect for it. But if you add some extra Posts on your new site – that will help search engines re-index your new URL / Address
