Need to redirect/forward traffic from my old domain to my wordpress blog
-
Collective Wisdom,
My institution has shut down our old website and now need to have all traffic addressed to our old domain automatically redirected/forwarded to our new domain (a wordpress.com blog). Please help.
Thank you.
Blog url: http://uintahlibrary.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

http://uintahlibrary.org/ is mapped to http://uintahlibrary.wordpress.com/ and working correctly
Is there another URL you need help with?
Have you remembered to renew the domain name?
-
The domain for my institution’s old website is uintah.lib.ut.us, which displays an error in the browser window. I need traffic addressed to uintah.lib.ut.us redirected/forwarded to uintahlibrary.org.
Thank you.

I don’t know if you can map that domain to your site here or not – the domain name looks strange to me – above my pay-grade – see below for mapping an existing domain name
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
You could also change things at the registrar or web site level to just redirect to your site here – you need to talk to your IT people for that –
I have also flagged this for staff attention to help you

I have manually added a zone record for your domain.
You should now be able to map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
