Need to remove a widget from only one page, not the entire theme
-
So I’m trying to remove the sidebar, archives, categories, and top posts widgets from one particular page in my theme, without removing them from the main page. I see no option for this in the menu or dashboard. A youtube video suggested that the best way for me to accomplish this would be to add the widget logic plugin but I don’t see the option for adding plugins anywhere on my dashboard or menu options. I’m working with the duet theme. Any insight as to my best course of action would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Tommy

So I am looking at what you posted and wondering which exactly blog you are referring to.
We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs.
Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.

There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. That is not possible without CSS editing. See here for details on purchasing the annually renewable custom and CSS editing:

Thanks for the URL. What I posted above at these links is correct and applies to your WordPress.COM hosted blog:

So it sounds like what you’re saying is that I won’t be to change the CSS for one page (and not the entire theme) unless I hire a webhost and change my url to a .org domain?
