Need to renew domain in redemption

Hi!
We have unfortunately missed the renewal period for our domain brfrenstromska.se and it looks like it’s been put in redemption. Can you please help us recover the domain, as soon as possible? We are of course willing to pay the extra renewal costs.

Understood. The person who has the account under which it was originally registered is no longer with us, but I’ll try to contact her to see if she still has her credentials.

Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account. The blog’s owner ie. the original Admin username account has to add your username account as Admin to the blog you want to be transferred to you and use the process to transfer the blog to it. Then Staff can transfer the upgrade function to you.

OK, makes sense, thanks. But if she can log in to transfer the domain to me, she might as well log in to do the renewal, should be quicker. Then after we have it up and running again and mail flow is restored etc, we can deal with the transfer.

The best way is not quick way you propose – know that. If she does the renewal then the financial information used and all charges will be hers so she had best not click “auto-renew” because this will be a nightmare next year if she does.

The original owner was actually able to renew the domain! Apparently it was not in redemption after all, just needed the same user account to renew it. Marking this topic as resolved – thanks!
