  My domain name is expired! I tried to renew through the link that was sent to me and when I click on it, it states sorry, this user account does not own the product you are trying to renew. This is my business name and email account. I am not receiving emails and my website is down due to this problem. Please help me renew my domain name and gain access to my business emails immediately. I can be reached at [contact info redacted] or (email visible only to moderators and staff). the log in email associated with this account is (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  Allowing a domain to expire

  When you allow your domain expire, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.

  f you are in the grace period you will not have to agree to pay a redemption fee set by the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM staff cannot waive.

  Otherwise, if you want Staff to try to recover the domain for you then you will have to agree to pay the redemption fee.

  I’ve tagged this thread in the sidebar with modlook for Staff attention.
  If you’re logged into the account that is associated with your expired domain, they will look up its status and get in touch with details.

  If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into the associated account, and provide the domain URL here.

  @timethief has posted some informative information which may be relevant to you, but just a quick heads up:

  Phone support is not offered on WordPress.com and as such, you shouldn’t post your phone number on a public forum: https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/#phone-support
