Need to renew my domain

  I noticed my domain, bigeasysportstalk.com, isn’t accessible anymore. I logged in to try to renew it doesn’t look like renewing domains is supported for me. What can I do to get the site back? Thanks!

  To clarify, that last line at the bottom was not added by me. I had bigeasysportstalk.com registered through WordPress, and that’s what I need access to.

  Hey there,

  I checked with our registrar and bigeasysportstalk.com is now in a redemption period. You can still renew your domain through us, but it is now a more expensive and complicated process to do so. Our registrar charges an $80 late renewal fee in addition to the $26 we charge to renew the domain. The good news is that this is still a chance of reclaiming the domain through this option.

  Your other option is to wait until the redemption period is over so that the domain becomes available for registration again. Domains are usually in redemption for approximately 80 days, but with this option, you run
  the risk of someone else jumping in front of you to purchase the domain before you get the chance.

  Please let me know if you want to proceed with paying the late renewal fee in the attempt to reclaim the domain name. This option is also time sensitive because the domain can be auctioned off to an expired domain bidder.

  I would suggest enabling the auto-renew option so that you will not have to worry about losing control over your domain in the future.

  I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore bigeasysportstalk.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.

  Yes! The domain has been restored! What WordPress.com site did you have it attached to originally? nickguarisco.wordpress.com? I need to attach it to a WordPress.com site of yours.

  The site was hosted outside of WordPress, actually. I’m not sure how you all had it set up before, but the nameservers should be ns1297.websitewelcome.com and ns1298.websitewelcome.com.

  Yes, but the site was also connected to a WordPress.com site here. Was it nickguarisco.wordpress.com? If so, I can reconnect it to that site, but you can point the nameservers back over to ns1297.websitewelcome.com and ns1298.websitewelcome.com.
