  I need to restore my domain that is in redemptionPeriod status.

  Staff may be able to recover your domain but it is now more complicated and more costly. The Registrar requests an extra $80 as well as the renewal fee once the domain has gone well past the “grace period”.

  Hello Everyone,

  This is jamesg15. Is it possible to transfer ownership of the domain uidahofiji.org over to user: mitchellsonnen. I originally set this domain up while I was in college when I was the PR chair for our Fraternity and thought I had it set up in a way that it would transfer over to next PR chair when they managed the account.

  As of now mitchellsonnen maintains our website so it would be best if he maintained ownership.

  Thank you and please let me know if there is anything else I need to do.

  Thanks for you reply. uidahofiji.org expired on 2017-03-24 and is currently in the redemption period:

  Domain Expiration

  We can still try to recover the domain but you will need to pay an $80 redemption fee in addition to the regular domain renewal costs ($26).

  If you agree to these costs I can generate a payment request for the amount. Once that has been paid, we can start the process of trying to get your domain back.

  If you do not want to pay the fee, you can wait until the domain is released but you may not be able to get it back if it is purchased at auction during this time.

  As of now mitchellsonnen maintains our website so it would be best if he maintained ownership.

  After the domain has been restored, it can be transferred to mitchellsonnen — this is something that will need to done from within your account as we can unable to transfer the domain for you. I can guide you through the process though.

  Good news! I was able to restore uidahofiji.org and it is active on your account :)

  The domain is now ready to transfer to mitchellsonnen. Only the owner can transfer a domain so the process needs to be started from within your account (it’s not something I can do on your behalf).

  We have a guide which explains the process. mitchellsonnen is already an admin so you can start from step 2:
