Need to set up an FTP layer

    I have recently started setting up my WordPress blog.

    I have chosen a theme to use as a template, and I want to customize the header and background images to reflect my company’s branding. When I attempt to upload the imagery, I get a message that says “unable to move the file…)

    I was told that I need to set up an FTP layer in order to upload my custom files, but I have no idea how to do this correctly. If anyone can give me detailed instruction on how to do this, I would really appreciate it!

    My blog is being hosted on a Linux server, if that matters.

  • Hi. You’ve reached the forums for blogs hosted here at WordPress.com. It sounds like you’re running a self-hosted version of WordPress.org.
