Need to stop featured images on Blog page from overlapping with post titles
-
I just set up my blog and can’t figure out how to change the layout of a) the blog page and b) the single post page to prevent all my featured images from overlapping with the post titles. The instructions I found involve adding custom CSS, but as far as I understand, this is not an option for the free sites. So, how can I do this?
This is my site – note how all the images are cut off by the post titles :( https://notquitewestchester.wordpress.com/

Hi @katerinatravels,
Unfortunately, the Sela theme is built like this, and doesn’t seem to offer any choices to change the things you’re looking for without adding custom CSS. As you’re mentioning, this is only possible with an upgraded plan.
If you want to dig a bit deeper and understand what to look for when choosing new themes, it would be useful to learn more about the page attributes section and escpecially the page templates available in the theme you’re considering. To see this, log in to your wp-admin panel, click Pages, and then choose any page. To the left, under the Publish section, there is a section calles Page Attributes. In the Sela theme, you can see that you have an option for Template on most of your pages, but not for your Blog page.
When checking out new themes, activate them on your site, and see if you get multiple page template choices if this is important for you.
