Need to transfer domain into wordpress.org host

I need to switch the domain into a wordpress.org account (Realized that was what I was actually what i wanted) and I have gotten hosting at hostgator (spare me your opinions on different hosts) and I needed to transfer my domain, as when I try to login to a wordpress.org account it keeps taking me back to wordpress.com.
Can anyone help me out?

If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.

But I am also having the issue that whenever I trying to login to wordpress.org to edit my site, it continues to log me into wordpress.com
Any help for that?

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click this link http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
