Need to transfer from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, having difficulty

    I made a wordpress.com account and made my current site, but I now have a domain registered and hosting through cloudflare and want to set up a site on wordpress.org. The problem is that I registered an account on wordpress.org, but it won’t let me log into my account with the email/username I registered ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) it says the account needs to be confirm/registered, but I clicked the link in the email and created a password already, yet when I go to log in to wordpress.org, it won’t bring me to any dashboard.

    Hi there,

    WordPress.org is the website where the WordPress community collaborates to make the open source WordPress software, and a WordPress.org account only lets you post in their forums, or contribute to the software there. In other words, the only website you can access using a WordPress.org account, is WordPress.org itself.

    WordPress.org isn’t a hosting service, so you can’t have a site hosted on WordPress.org. You can only have a site built with the software made on WordPress.org.

    You use that software by installing in your own server, or at a hosting provider like Pressable or Bluehost. When you install WordPress at your host, you’ll create an admin user account as part of that process, which you’ll use to access your site.
