Need to unmap my domain.

I recently purchased a wordpress theme from the Envato marketplace only to realize I was unable to install the theme on wordpress.com.

Apparently, I need to install the theme on wordpress.org utilizing Dream Host.

I would like to unmap “techcuria.com” from “wordpress.com” or “techcuria.wordpress.com.” I accidentally mapped the domain that I own “techcuria.com” to wordpress’s nameservers and am unable to use the google-purchased domain elsewhere as a result.

The matter is slightly urgent due to the fact that we are trying to get a startup website before March 20th.

I appreciate your time and concern!

    Sincerely,

    Justin

Is it possible to receive a refund for the mapped domain itself? My original intent as I stated before, was to map the domain using hosting services.

    I apologize for the inconvenience!

    Howdy, Justin!

I’ve removed the domain mapping here on WordPress.com for techcuria.com and issued a refund. It may take a week or so to appear in your bank account, but you can view the refund in your Billing History:

    https://wordpress.com/me/billing

You’ll still need to adjust the domain’s name servers to the name servers for Dream Host instead of WordPress.com:

    http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Nameservers

    ns1.dreamhost.com 66.33.206.206
    ns2.dreamhost.com 208.97.182.10
    ns3.dreamhost.com 66.33.216.216

That should done at the registrar where you purchased the domain. Sounds like you did that through Google. :)

You can also transfer any content you’ve created here on WordPress.com to your self-hosted site using WordPress’s Export and Import tools:

Let me know if you have any further questions! :)
