Need to update database host name

    My web hosting service changed my database host name, and I need to update the wp-config.php file for my site. My site is currently down. However, when I log in to wordpress, my site seems to have disappeared, and I can’t locate the site or file I need to update. Can you help?

    Hi there,

    You don’t see your site here because your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. Your site has no connection at all to us.

    Please contact support at your hosting provider directly for help with this – only they can give you access to FTP that you need to modify your config.php file.

    For general help with the version of WordPress you’re using, you can ask the WordPress.org community over at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
