Need to use a new WP template to create a WP template

    Does anyone know if it is possible to use an existing template to create a new template that can be loaded into multiple websites? If so, can you please explain how to do it?

    Here’s my issue:

    I already created a website using the Alante WordPress theme. Now, I need to replicate this exact same website on to about 10 other websites. The websites are for a business that has multiple locations. All of the text, photos, contact info, links, etc. are the same for all websites. I just need to change the city name for each location.

    Does anyone know how to use the Alante template to create a more unique template that can be used on all the other websites, so they would automatically display with my preferred content and then I’d just have to go in and edit the city name for each site individually?

    Not sure if it matters, but I use DreamHost for hosting and I designed the site using the WordPress accessibility area within their hosting platform.

    You are posting to the wrong support forum. This is WordPress.COM support and that site is not on our servers.

    We do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software, or for WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to WordPress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites WordPress.COM account page. However, about 30% of those who post here every day are posting to the wrong support forum and must be redirected to the correct support forum.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
