Need two versions of site for school?

Hello, I have created a free site, however for the school project I am doing I have to have a draft of the site, show the test plan I did to improve, and a final version. Unfortunately since this is for a writing heavy class and not one where I would expect the instructor to be able to look at any locally generated drafts, this all needs to be ‘published’ online at once. The only way I see to do this is to pay $96 for an annual plan to get unlimited sites and copy all the content over to a second site to then edit after testing… even though I only need these two versions for a few weeks. Thoughts? Help? Free promo code for a student? Thanks!

  • Hi –

You don’t need to pay us for an upgrade, that content belongs to you. If you’re looking to move it to another site, you can do that through the export + import process.

Please share the site URL so we can have a closer look at things.

You could just create another free site on your account to serve as the draft site.

Hi, I feel silly now. I had no idea I could create a second site for free! When doing so, the UI pulls up all the plan options and I totally missed the small print to skip and create a free site. I will try the export + import process. I just proofed it out and created a second site so this will work perfectly to be able to show the professor the draft and final versions. Thank you so much for your time!
