Need VERY SIMPLE help with 503
-
I have a 503 error showing on my site. I can’t understand the support forums instructions. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WordPress on the site, but the error continues. My hosting company says it is an issue with WordPress, not on their end, but even with WordPress uninstalled, it still showed the error. I need to know whether this is actually a WordPress thing, and if so, how to fix it.
Please explain VERY SIMPLY, as if talking to someone who has never owned a computer before. I obviously do own one, but written instructions are hard for me to follow, and technology is way more complicated for me than for most people. As I said above, I’ve read posts on the support forum about how to fix 503 errors, and as much as I was able to understand them, I may as well have been reading cuneiform…

Hi karennacolcroft,
Sorry to hear you’re having difficulties with your site.
This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. Your question is specifically for a self-hosted installation of WordPress. You’ll need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums.

Thanks, I apologize for posting in the wrong site. Didn’t realize there was a difference. I’ll go to the correct one.
