Need W9 form for nonprofit
-
Hello WordPress,
We are a nonprofit organization that wants to order an upgrade to the $25 a month plan. We need a W9 form for tax purposes, but I saw in a previous post that you have to spend $600 per year to get one. We do not plan to spend that much, but have to have a W9 in order to upgrade. Can you please help?
Thanks.

There are no discounts that I am aware of for non-profit sites. However, I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response.
We have different plans: free, personal, premium and business. All hosting is free regardless of which plan you choose.
All fees are clearly stated on the plans and pricing pages. There are no monthly payment plans. We are billed annually and pay in full for every upgrade at the time of purchase for a one year subscription.
Note that each upgrade bundle applies to a single blog only and is for a single year only when it is due to be renewed. We have an auto renew feature. Read about it here https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#auto-renew
Add a plan for your site here: http://store.wordpress.com/plans
WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers. You can, however, map an existing domain, that you purchased elsewhere.
In order to remove the .wordpress.com URL and replace that with a domain URL you have to purchase an upgrade. See https://wordpress.com/pricing/
What domain mapping does is providing a seamless redirect to the very same content under the new domain URL when a person clicks the old URL to the original content.
Make sure you read the comparison very closely do you know exactly what the restrictions and limitations on WordPress.COM blogging are: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Refunds
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
Canceling upgrades

Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades -
We do not need any discounts. Since we are a U.S. government funded organization, we are required to have a W9 form for the purchases we make. When we buy from other vendors, they have just emailed one to us. Is this possible to get one for WordPress?

This thread has been tagged for Staff assistance.
All pricing plans are per year and paid up front and come with a 30-day refund window so you can try it out. Please pay attention that if you use the domain credit to purchase or map a domain that needs to be cancelled for a refund within 48 hours of purchase.
Here’s more info on that https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and the info on refunds https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

Thank you for the quick response, but I’m kind of confused. All I need is a W-9. Is there anyone who can send me one?

Hi there,
I’ve asked our accounting department if it’s possible to issue the form in this situation. I’ll let you know once I hear back from them.
