Need you to disconnect monitoring

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi folks:
I deleted my WP site (danielsofer.com), and now your bot is spamming me that it can’t find it.

For some reason, danielsofer.com was not listed on my wordpress account, yet you were monitoring… not sure why that was happening, but I was unable to remove it myself.

Also, It required a round trip on Twitter to find this page. That your wordpress/jetpack website has no way to contact anyone is incomprehensible.

    Thanks,
    Daniel Sofer

  • Hi Daniel,

That site is connected to your WordPress.com account via Jetpack, and you have the Monitor feature in Jetpack active which sends a notification that the site is offline if we’re not able to connect to it for a certain time.

If you deleted that site without disconnecting Jetpack first, we have no way of knowing you took it offline intentionally. All our system knows is that the site is unresponsive, so it reacts accordingly to let you know the site is offline.

I have now manually disabled Monitor for that site and disconnected it from your WordPress.com account, so you should not receive any more notifications about it.
