Needing support from wordpress

  Hello,

  I have always been really impressed at how wordpress got back in response to any questions I have previously had, but have recently posted a couple of times without any reply and I’m feeling quite lost and frustrated at the moment.

  Before I start a new blog, I would like to know 1) if I can keep the prefix www. in the url when I set it up (as I have domain name I would like to use) I have seen wordpress blogs that DO have this prefix in the url, but have read in the forums that it is not possible to keep it, so I am confused over this.

  2) what procedure do I need to follow if I want to delete my old blog and how do I save it before doing so.

  3) I may decide keep my current blog with one page with a link page to the new blog and just delete all old posts. So far it seems that the first couple of lines of any posts I have previously deleted still show up in google, how do I fix this?
