Needing to upgrade to use Elementor….

    Hi, I didn’t realize I had to upgrade to use a free plugin?
    Could you help out please I am new to this as I have brain damage,

    If so, then yes, you’d definitely want to upgrade and add the Business plan to your site! Having the Business plan isn’t about paying to use free plugins as such; what it does is add a whole bunch of features to your WordPress.com site including the option to use plugins (whether those plugins are free like the basic form of Elementor, or paid extensions themselves, like Elementor Pro).

    Would you like to tell us a little more about what you’d want to do with the site? For example, since you mentioned wanting to use Elementor, were you looking for a visual page builder? Feel free to let us know what you’re aiming to achieve with your site, we’re happy to provide suggestions to point you in the right direction!

    In general when you work with plugins, you’re working with products from third parties that aren’t affiliated with WordPress.com. Sometimes the plugins don’t work correctly, or an update to a plugin which was previously working can end up breaking your site. In cases like those, you’d want the option to either roll back the change, or get help to deactivate the plugin which causes the issue – the Business plan gives you both, in the form of our daily backup service and Live Chat support.
