Neither featured image, nor regular embedded images display.

  As I´ve always done, I loaded images onto my blog´s media library and used the embedded Add Media button, as I do not know any other way of adding images into a post, but this time the images do not display at all. It only shows little boxes as place holders, but no image. I tried taking out all of the images and re-doing the whole thing, but it is still the same. The featured image will not display either. Anything I can do?
