Neither html editor nor video uploader will work;

    Neither html editor nor video uploader will work; hence, cannot embed youtube video. Must do this as it is instructional material for online class.

    When click on html tab, nothing happens. Simply stays visual. When attempt to upload video url, just get a blank screen–it never resolves. No video appears. have tried logging off and back in.

    Please help!

    First off the first thing to try when something in the dashboard goes wacky is to log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again. Most of the time this will fix the issues.

    For youtubes, use the youtube shortcode method. That virtually always works.

    Just in case all the stuff there makes your eyes cross, use this format (replacing the URL_OF_YOUTUBE with the actual URL of the video, and type it all into the HTML tab, not the visual editor.

    *Clearing the cache made the whole dashboard work* (had later noticed stats and quick press were not loading either).

    I had tried logging off and even restarting the computer. Clearing the cache never occurred to me.
    Now the html editor works AND the media uploaders, AND the stats and quickpress.

    YAY!!! Thanks again for a new lesson (the learning curve never stops :)
