Neither my WP followers nor I am receiving email notifications of new posts-why?

  2 main problems:

  1. I don’t receive instant email notifications from the 33 blogs I follow even though settings on Dashboard show they are following. Example: http://sherreymeyer.com/blog/ Problem began just a day or two ago.

  I did Check the Settings → Discussion page to make sure email notifications are activated. They are!

  2. WP followers are not receiving email notifications from me when I publish a new post either, based on feedback from some of followers who have WordPress accounts,. (Today I did not receive a notification when my own post was published.)

  To avoid contacting you directly, I have explored all avenues: FAQ, forums for support to no avail. (I wonder if installing the Google 2-step Authentication which you advised has anything to do with the problem.)

  Followers who do NOT have WordPress accounts seem to be getting notifications.

  Have you checked to make sure that your notifications aren’t stuck in a spam folder (or the “social” tab if you use Gmail)?

  This is most likely because you are using more than 15 tags/categories on many of your posts. Here is our “tags” support page:

  Missing Posts

  If you have published a new post and it isn’t showing up on tag pages for the tags and categories that you’ve used, there are several possible explanations:

  1. You are using too many categories or tags. In most cases, there’s no need to assign more than a handful of tags per post. If you use more than 15 tags and categories (total), your posts will not appear on tag pages (because you don’t want to see irrelevant content showing up there, and neither do we).
