nested pages on any theme?
-
Hi,
I am currently looking at MistyLook theme for my blog, but I have one problem with that theme, it does not display nested pages in the menubar. The theme INove does that, but I can’t find out why it does and why MistyLook doesn’t.
If I buy CSS editing, can I edit MistyLook so that nested pages appear dropdown like in INove?
Would it be difficult to implement nested pages in MistyLook?FYI: The pages widget in the sidebar is not supposed to be there in the future, it is only there now for reference.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

INove is the only theme that displays subpages and categories as drop-down. The other themes dont.
It is possible to implement drop-down menus with CSS, but only if you already have very very very extensive knowldege about CSS or have ambitions of becoming an expert CSS developer. If you need drop-down menus, stay with INove.

Hi, thanks for answering.
I probably don’t have “very very very extensive” knowledge, but I do have somewhat extensive knowledge and an ambition to always become a better CSS coder.
Do you have a link or someting that I could look at in order to decide if this is the proper time for me to start trying to create CSS-dropdowns?
Thanks again.

Maybe I should add that I do have experience with building CSS-driven dropdown navigation menus from un-ordered lists. Would that experience help me here at WordPress?

You can try it out for free:
from http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/
I’m not sure if the CSS upgrade is for me. Can I try before I buy?
Yes! Visit the Appearance -> Edit CSS tab on your dashboard. You can write or paste your own CSS stylesheet into the text box provided, and use the Preview button to see how it will look with your currently selected theme. The CSS changes you try with the Preview function are only visible to you, so you can test and edit to your heart’s content. -
If you have some knowledge of CSS, then try to customize Sandbox 1.6.1: it’s got page dropdowns.

I don’t have the link now, but I did see one person who did a CSS dropdown menu system in Ocean Mist using unordered lists, and it turned out fabulous. I just don’t know if that will work with all themes here or not.

Thaks everyone, I’ll have a look at that site… And yes, I thought about customizing Sandbox as well… I’ll see, perhaps that latter option is actually best…
