Nesting Menus

I want to create a menu header “Book” w/ 2 menu links nested within that header. Do I need to create a separate page for the “Books”? I don’t have any content to place on the page so I’d prefer to have it be static.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The blog is at: http://jamespagano.wordpress.com/ I want to put , “The Bleed” and the “The Drain” as links under a “Books” menu. I had it configured that way, but I don’t want to have an actual landing page for the “Book” menu option, so I deleted the Books page….and now it has disappeared from the my main menu – in spite of having created a custom menu for Books w/ The Bleed and The Drain below it.
    Thanks!

There is a little trick you can use to create a parent top level tab that is not clickable. Create a custom link. Put the “Books” label in and for the URL, put just any old URL (you will be deleting that shortly). Add that custom link to your menu. Click on the right end of the title bar to open the item in the custom menu and then delete the URL. Now you can go to the posts module and add the sub-pages to the custom menu and indent them so that they display on a dropdown under the Book top level tab in the menu. Make sure to save the custom menu.

YIKES! The last two sentences are wrong.

Now you can go to the pages module and add the sub-pages to the custom menu and indent them so that they display on a dropdown under the Books top level tab in the menu. Make sure to save the custom menu.
