Nesting pages

  I want to make nested pages but I want only the parent page to show on my sidebar. So for instance, I want my parent page, “Veg-edibles” to show up on the sidebar, then I want a reader to be able to click to that page, and when they get there, to find all the nested pages listed (“Beets,” “Broccoli,” “Carrots,” etc.) and have that be the way they access those nested pages. Does that make sense? Right now, the sidebar looks like this:

  Veg-edibles
  -Beets
  -Broccoli
  -Carrots

  And when you click through to the Veg-edibles page, you don’t see the nested pages at all.
