NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
-
I just setup the domain for my WordPress.com account and I’m receiving NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID SSL error when trying to view the website. As far as I’m aware I don’t have an SSL, I’m not sure why I’m receiving this error.

Hi! When you set up a domain on WordPress.com, we automatically give you SSL free of charge. However, the SSL is having difficulty provisioning because of some mixed DNS records. You can use our Site Profiler tool to learn more.
This guide covers the common reasons why you’re getting that specific error. For the SSL to be successfully provisioned, you’ll either want to use our name servers or our A records.
I hope that helps! Reply here if you need additional assistance!

Thanks for the information. I have set the nameservers to WordPress but I’m still receiving he SSL error.

May we know how long has it been since you updated the name servers? As per the tool here: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#NS/payzero.com.au , it seems the name server change is yet to be updated in some regions. Name server changes can take up to 72 hours to reflect due to domain propagation delay.
You may need to wait a couple of hours.
I’d also suggest clearing the browser cache to ensure the cache is not interfering. You may refer to this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#clear-your-browser-cache/
