NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID…. WHAT??
-
I have been trying for 4 hours to find a solution to this problem. I have read forums, contacted McAfee and NONE of the solutions have worked! NOTHING! This keeps happening to some of the same blogs over and over no matter what time of day either.
When I go to different wordpress.com blogs that I have been going to for over a year…..suddenly I get this error message when I try to comment: NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
It happens in Chrome, It happens in IE and it doesn’t matter if I am incognito or signed in to my blog before I try to comment. Or signed OUT of my blog. It doesn’t matter! I have done all the things suggested by your forum people. Nothing is working! This is annoying! And I am NOT going to go into “unsafe” mode so I can comment. I am not in a public place. I am at home on my VERY secure network on my computer.
I have gone into Internet Settings and done all the things it said to do via WordPress.com Help and Support site. I have also gone into my dashboard>Users>Personal Settings and unclicked “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages” and I have tried clicking it back on and it doesn’t matter.
SO if someone could please help me with this dilemma I would very much appreciate it!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What are the URLs of the blogs in question? It could well be related to the http/https issue that they are having here, but it might be something else. Reading between the lines it seems like you’re trying to comment on the https version, while the comments submit form is going to the http version, causing the issue. But I’m just guessing, because we need those URLs.

Here are two:

And it happens every time with these two blogs.Also, I have to log in every time with most of my other blog friends to leave a comment.
Sometimes
when I click to comment, it automatically brings me up but MOST of the time I am having to log in again and again if I move to another blog or even another post within the same blogger. It doesn’t make sense because I am always signed into wordpress.com. This will happen in the same session with Chrome…. So I’m not logging out of Chrome or closing my browser and opening it again. Does that make sense?

So there is an http/https issue going on with WordPress?
I copied the URL that pops up on the Error page for you also.

Ok… NOW I don’t get the error message but I am still having to sign in, and put all of my information in to comment! Grr! Email, name and website, then it takes me to the sign in page anyway and I have to put my password in again (even though I have already done this) and when I hit Enter, it tells me I am trying to post a duplicate comment! Really???? :-(
And sure enough if I go back to the post, my comment is there, but geez… this is getting ridiculous! -

Here is another blog URL I can’t comment in!
