Network Solutions says wordpress.com does not exist
-
I’m trying to map my domain, godspathreflections.com, from the registrar (and current server) Network Solutions. However, on the page in acct mgr @ Net. Soln. where I enter the DNS to change to, when I enter wordpress.com, I get the message back “does not exist, check that the name is correct”.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi there,
You’ll need to change your name servers (or DNS) to:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comIf you’re mapping a domain that you’ve already registered elsewhere, these instructions should come in handy:

Thanks for the reply.
At Network Solutions, I’m at Account Manager>Edit DNS>Move DNS
When I enter wordpress.com after Name Server 1 and Name Server 2, I get the message “The name server you entered does not exist. Please contact your host to verify the name server is accurate.” and “Name server host names cannot be the same”
Am I somehow at the wrong place? Is their screen glitchy? What’s the deal?

You should not enter wordpress.com, you should enter ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com. Just to make sure, is that what you did? Could you please check with Network Solutions to make sure you are on the right screen in their site and that you are updating the correct setting or ask them for help making the name server change directly?

Okay, NOW I’ve got it. Duuhhh …
That did work, the name server change is in process.
I keep waiting for the time when I don’t say “Duh” on the computer on a daily basis.
Thanks for your patience and help!
