Never Received Refund

    Yesterday I upgraded to premium, and then subsequently upgraded to business. Neither upgrade solved my problems. When I requested my refund, it only refunded $199, instead of the total $299 that I paid for both upgrades, and kicked me all the way back to a ‘free’ account. I need to either get my full refund as advertised, or at least get back to the original premium upgrade that is already paid for. Also, why can’t I talk to a human being about financial issues?

    Staff can help but they cannot do that without relevant information.

    1. What is the domain URL?
    2. What is the underlying .wordpress.COM URL?
    3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.COM URL and purchased the upgrade for it?
    4. Have you applied for a refund?

    Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and cancel any upgrade.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

    The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours and is clearly stated here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    Provided you are logged in under the exact same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel domain mapping and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

    4. Yes, please reread my first post. I upgraded to premium for $99, then appox 30 minutes later upgraded to business from premium for $199. I requested the refund while logged in and confirmed it via email. It only gave me the $199 back, not the first $99 I paid, and it kicked me all the way back to a “free” account. To summarize the billing information that appears in my account 99+199-199 = 99. I am $99 short of a full refund, but there is now no way to request another refund, since the system now considers me a “free” user.
