New account but having trouble receiving email verification
-
Just signed up for a new account. In order to proceed, there’s a message that I need to verify my email address by clicking on the link in the email sent to me by WordPress. I am not receiving that email even though I’ve registered the right email address. And my email is working fine, not in spam as well. I’ve used WordPress before with other email accounts (for work) but this is the first time it’s happened.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Please check in your email client spam/ junk mail filter as well as your “social” tab in Gmail, if you use it. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting. -
@straitsfoods – It looks like we’re receiving an error from your email account when trying to send the confirmation email. Did you recently change the name servers to point to WordPress.com? When you change the name servers of your domain, any email records you have at the old host will stop working.
Can you try sending the confirmation email to another address using the “Send to another email address” link on the top of WordPress.com? Once we confirm your account, I’m happy to help you set this back up with your custom email.

Thank you timethief and jeremylduvall.
I found out it was a name server problem like you said and have finally fixed it. Sorry to waste your time and thank you very much!
