New account issues.

I recently created a new account on wordpress.com and when I click on the link in my email to activate the account, it says “could not create user”. When I try to log in from the wordpress.com site….I get this “Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”
Can someone help me out?

The latest version of Firefox appears to be having issues with the latest version of the custom version of WordPress that we run here. This has been discussed in many threads already on this forum. Best thing to do would be to contact staff directly at the link provided and explain what your issue is. Please also include as much details about your set up as possible. (ie Version of Firefox, what you’re using for an email client, if it’s in html email mode [which it better not be] or if its in text mode, etc.)

I contacted the staff at automattic.com…and haven’t gotten any sort of a response whatsoever. Still can’t log in to wordpress. This is just silly….

Also….this is definately a problem with this specific account, because I just created a second account…and it works perfectly. I, however, want to use http://lightandfire.wordpress.com and not the second account I created…
How do I got about just getting this account deleted so I can sign up for a new one with the same name?

Feedback sent with a pointer to this thread. If you sent in a Feedback yourself though without the information I suggested above, there really isn’t much they can do to help you though.
