New account needed for blog…but directions don't work

  I just created a new blog under my original account, but now realize I need to create a separate account for it if I want to have a different Gravatar and profile. I searched the how to and followed the instructions for going to My Blogs, clicking on the blog, hovering over tranfer blog, entering a different email address and…I get a pick bar that says “cannot tranfer to this address.” I even tried adding +something to my gmail address and that didn’t work either. Now what? Sure wish you could have different profiles and gravatars for blogs under one email account.

  Please help. I know it takes a bit to get an answer but appreciate getting this resolved.

  The user account has to exist before you can transfer the blog to it. Not just the email address. The account.

  Hello Raincoaster,

  Thank you for your response. I created an account as you suggested…just an account. Wouldn’t let me create a blog address since I’ve already done that. This time I got as far as getting an email in the original email of the original account asking me to verify the action. Great, right?! But no, when I clicked the link to 100% confirm, I then got the “failure to transfer this blog” message.

  Sigh.
